@metrotrains Great, solid update. The point I was raising, why was this not relayed to the PAX within the train? Surely the driver was informed?
Commuters of all ages (students to elderly) were completely confused as to whether to stay on or disembark.
@metrotrains what is going on at South Yarra on platform 3? This Frankston line UP service has sat here for approx. 15mins, not a single announcement! Is this how your drivers are trained? To not keep your passengers informed?
@metrotrains Thanks for the prompt, late-night reply. It was indeed reminiscent of previous experiences when the signals trip and force the brakes. Suggest that particular train have its intercom system assessed, it wasn’t loud in there and yet the rear carriages couldn’t hear a thing.
@metrotrains why is the 9:25pm Flinders Street to Frankston on the DOWN slamming it’s breaks after long pauses from Patterson station onwards, every station? The “announcements” are also inaudible.
2x2 layout @metrotrains X-traps for these “new” city-loop Frankston services. Urgh. They bounce as much as a jumping castle. Missing the Comeng & Siemens already.
The contempt that @metrotrains has for passengers trying to take the Frankston line outbound from Southern Cross Station during evening peak is next level.
The departure time, now from Flinders St, is what the original arrival time at Cheltenham was set to be.
@metrotrains the 5:40pm DOWN service on the Frankston line from SCS was a limited express. Quietly cancelled into a Flinders termination. Getting over this at SCS.
@metrotrains Also worth mentioning the only announcement was an automated one announcing the next arriving service (the delayed express) as the next all stopping service.
@metrotrains The Cheltenham 7:15 express UP service seems to have vanished without a single word spoken on the platform. Lot of people waiting wondering what’s going on. Train sitting between it and Mentone a long time.
@metrotrains We few figured it was likely the express and got on, but as the next all-stopping service was less than a minute away, and the express had disappeared from the board with no announcement, the majority (a few dozen) remained on the platform assuming it was the all stopper.
@metrotrains@Uberstooks Thanks for the timely reply. Real pity after decades of incompetent governments they don’t fund to heavily reduce these frequent faults (like other nations do) but pour billions into rail projects that run late and over budget, or aren’t truly rail projects at all.
@metrotrains@Uberstooks@metrotrains What’s with the 16 minute delay to the 6:12pm DOWN service from Flinders to Frankston?
Left Flinders late only to sit in the Jolimont yards. Only now arrived to Richmond. No details from driver to passengers.
@PeterDutton_MP@AngusTaylorMP You gents forgetting about restoring the original Stage 3 tax cuts you pledged you’d restore right after Albo tore them up? Tsk tsk you had your chance & now have blown it. #auspol
