The integrity of any state or country largely depends on protecting the rights & freedom of various minorities living within it. You cannot attack minorities just for political power & cry for unity & integrity.
This holds relevant to the present crisis in Manipur as well.
The state of affairs in Manipur where injured can't be treated in a hospital in the state capital. And have to be airlifted in the middle of the night to a Kuki-majority district. If Modi and Shah can't govern, why don't they formally divide the state then?
The killing of 6 Naga civilians was inhuman and horrifying. The Naga leaders are right in condemning it. Why were they quiet when two Kuki civilians, who went to repair a water pipe in Ukhrul, were killed?
The burning of Kharam Vaiphei village is yet another tragic reminder of the complete failure of the State Government to ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
If such an incident could occur during a so-called search operation conducted by 2/8Gorkhas, the Government of Manipur and the SP of Kangpokpi District must answer serious questions. The Kuki community cannot continue to be subjected to selective enforcement, selective justice, and collective victimization while those responsible for violence and destruction remain unaccountable.
The Kuki people have already endured immense suffering, displacement, and loss. Instead of receiving justice and protection, they are repeatedly made to bear the burden of administrative failures and biased actions.
We strongly condemn this incident and hold the concerned authorities morally and administratively responsible for maintaining law and order. Justice cannot be selective. Peace cannot be built on discrimination. The continued targeting and neglect of the Kuki community will only deepen mistrust and further undermine confidence in the rule of law.

#WATCH | Churachandpur, Manipur | Young Pillars College Principal and MD, Samuel Haokip, says, "Among the 14 that were abducted, there's a boy named Hengunsei Khongsai, a student of Young Pillars College. He had just completed his class 11 final exams. Now, Hengunsei is still a minor. He's only 16 years of age. He also has a disability and he's essentially an orphan. His mother left him when he was a child and his father passed away this January. Now, his friends have started their class 12 a week ago. He could not come. He's still in Taphou village. He was in Taphou village to earn his fare money, just to come from his village to Lamka... I earnestly appeal to the government at the state and the centre, to all the security agencies and to all right-thinking community leaders across the region. Please put an end to this madness... Let us release all the hostages on all sides, including our boy, Hengunsei Khongsai... On the 14th of May, as I've been given to understand by his family members, Hengunsei Khongsai, along with his friends and village members were earning money as a daily wage labourer. On their way home to their village, they were stopped, in front of Mount Everest College, Senapati, where they were stopped by Senapati District Student Association (SDSA) members. There were also police members present there, security personnel. Instead of protecting Hengunsei Khongsai and his friends and his villagers, the security people have handed over these civilians into the hands of the SDSA... All involved parties, including the SDSA student leaders as well as the police personnel involved in that incident must be investigated and they must be held accountable for whatever happens to Hengunsei Khongsai and the abducted 14 members."
FINAL ULTIMATUM for the release of over 30 Kuki-Zo hostages held in Senapati and Ireng Naga.
The concerned parties are urged to act immediately before the situation reaches an irreversible and uncontrollable stage.
5 months before his death,BJP MLA from Manipur, Vungzagin Valte, wrote to PM Narendra Modi detailing how he was brutally attacked by the “Meitei militia [Arambai Tenggol]”, said he is paralysed and despite the gravity of the incident no CBI/NIA probe.I ✍️

Anger and Disappointment: Why Kukis Are Protesting the Manipur Government
As Manipur gets a new govt after President’s Rule, the Kuki-Zo community remains angry. Nemcha Kipgen’s appointment as Deputy CM has sparked protests, with many calling it a betrayal. | @yaqutali
Representative leaders should represent the voice of people. If they can't carry out this basic role they don't have the right to remain in their seats.
The three MLAs did not speak or made decision for the whole society. TRAITORS!!
