Surveys by GSI (Geological Survey of India) in #Manipur has reported finding of Nickel, copper and Platinum Group Elements ( PGE )/Platinum Group Metals apart from Malachite, Azurite and Magnetite.

This lies under the earth strata of the hills which is the home to tribals for 1000s of years.

89% of the land in #Manipur are hills. The precious minerals are in that territory. This is the home of the tribals.

Well known private companies with close links to the ruling party are interested in getting mining rights. The hill inhabitants would have to helplessly watch the hill and mountain tops being sliced off and monstrous mining equipments tear into it's belly and pull out their booty...

The #BJP Government in its wisdom and strategy decided to award the #Meitei community with Scheduled Tribes status. (Remember the erstwhile Kings of Manipur can me from this community)

Once #Meitei gain the ST status, they can easily occupy the hill estates. This then can be sold to the mining companies at huge profits. This could have become very lucrative for the valley people.

Of course #Kuki do not like this.

In most parts of the world, the precious metals and minerals are found in forest land. The aborigines are pushed out forcibly. With improper compensation.

Their fault - That they were born tribals.

A very peaceful and harmonious #Manipur society has become a battlefield within the past 1 year.

The fracture in social fabric has caused thousands to lose their homes, hundreds lost lives and women raped.

Somewhere deep beneath the ethnic violence that we see, is yet another untold story of precious metals, minerals, Mining lobby, political benefits.

Miss Donngaihching Hangzo is a mentally challenged woman who lives in Imphal all by herself. She is usually seen wandering about in Lamphel area by passerbys or locality people. Video taken on 4th May shows Miss Donggaihching taking her usual walk while everyone is running away for their lives. She insisted on staying back even after neighbours persuaded her,leaving no choice but to comply to her.

However this morning news of her being shot dead circulated with a fake narrative that she was a suicide bomber. First they described our 75 year old mother as a sniper shooter now Miss Donngaihching is a suicide bomber? How many lies will these people tell to cover up one lie??

You lay hands on an unarmed mentally ill woman and if you consider yourself a hero im sorry to say you are nothing but a loser. K**l her if you think she is a threat to you but stop your false stinky disgusting narratives you make to cover up your evil deed.

This whole bunch of community is brainwashed and i feel sorry for them and their future generations.

A fact-finding team from the National Federation of Indian Women (NFIW) to the ongoing crises in Manipur today said that the May 3 violence in Churachandpur was a 'state-sponsored violence or riot'.

Chief Minister N. Biren Singh should take moral and political responsibility for all that is happening and should have resigned from the post of Chief Minister, the NFIW general secretary told the media persons.

Speaking to reporters at Manipur Press Club here in Imphal, Annie Raja, General Secretary of the NFIW, said that they have conducted three and half days fact-finding in the state of Manipur by visiting both Meitei-dominated areas and the Kuki-dominated areas.

"After meeting the affected parties of both the community we came to the conclusion that the May 3 violence or riot is a 'State-sponsored violence or riot' Annie Raja told reporters.

Giving reason for terming it as a state-sponsored violence, the General Secretary of NFIW said that ahead of the May 3 violence the government of Manipur had demolished many houses and 3 churches alleging them as illegal occupations in the month of March. "In a democracy, the government should either pay compensations or make alternative arrangements if their houses have to be evicted" Annie Raja said.

The fact-finding team from the NFIW comprises of 3 members. The other members are Deeksha Duivedi, Independent Advocate and Nisha Siddhu, National Secretary, NFIW.

"The Chief Minister being elected as the people's representatives, has a responsibility to protect the people's life and livelihood but he failed to deliver his duty", Annie said adding that after 3rd May incident, the Chief Minister has not made any announcement for thorough enquiry or immediate intervention to control the situation.

Biren Singh is the factor why peace is eluding in Manipur. He is the executioner of the RSS ideology of Hindutva. He was made to task to seriously persuade the idea. All Northeastern states are under serious pressure. Manipur is burning, Sikkim in protest, Nagaland public under siege from 18 factions. In Arunachal Pradesh, RSS is prospering, In Tripura, Hindutva is in force. Assam Government is championing Hindutva. Although Mizoram and Meghalaya have reservation with RSS yet, they support BJP at the Centre for their survival. Ruling Government live in fear of NIA, ED and CBI. Tribals, Adivasis and minority religious groups live in constant fear for their lives and future. No one is safe under BJP.
After removal of Article 370, the heart-burn for RSS is Article 371 and it’s clauses. They are doing everything in the Northeast to neutralize and to remove Article 371 with it’s special protections. BJP has chosen Judiciary path for Sikkim and Manipur.
It is reported that over 3,000 arms and 5,00,000 ammunitions were given to Arambai Tenggol and Meitei Leepun - the Meitei Hindu radicals to fight against minority Kuki -zo tribals who are Christians. The act is no less than fascism and treason to own people and Nation. It is crime against humanity. It is deliberate violation of constitution. It is clear case of breakdown of the Constitution. Law and order have completely collapsed. What more is required to dismiss the Government that is killing and destroying it’s own subjects and properties? It is pure madness of self-destruction. Over 121 Churches torched and burnt down. Christians have never attacked Temples anywhere in the Nation, for vengeance is not ours. Dead bodies are lying on by the road sides and home without burial.
The Prime Minister assured permanent solution in 2021 election campaign at Imphal. Did he mean permanent solution “ to eliminate Tribal Christians permanently’’ ?. Till now the Prime Minister is mute, Union Home Minister lost control and Governor’s Peace Committee has been boycotted. Parties will not join Peace Committee so long as N.Biren Singh is the CM and Member of the peace committee. Dismissal of Biren Singh is the only way to attempt peace in Manipur.
This is the crucial time the President of India should intervene. We are encouraged by the President’s intervention on Women Wrestlers issues. We understand Rashtrapati is under siege. Letters don’t reach the President. People cannot reach the President. However, there is no greater pain in the Nation other than what Manipur is undergoing at the moment.
Northeast Congress MPs and NECCC may apprise the President of India for her timely intervention.

When the violence broke out on 3rd May 2023. The locals of SUGNU under the leadership of K. Ranjit Singh Sugnu Kendra Congress MLA along with Sugnu Municipal Council and Kuki Chiefs & Kuki CSOs of the area agreed on a Peace Pact. It was agreed upon that no external forces would be allowed to bring the chaos in the area from both sides. That Sugnu people would remain coexisting peacefully like it always have. It was an assurance given to the people by their respective leaders. However this PEACE Pact was breached on the night of 27th May 2023 when the SUGNU PS started blank firing. Both inhabitants being warring communities assumed it to be the other side that had just broke the PEACE TALK and what followed was what the locals had long feared. The PEACE PACT held SUGNU together for 25 long days despite violence occurring simultaneously across the state. Although neglected from all districts (Churachandpur-Bishnupur-Kakching-Chandel), Sugnu has been one of the most peaceful town across Manipur where it’s local inhabitants took part in festivities, depended on each other for their survival. Such a peaceful town couldn’t stand the menace brought about by external communal forces & evil brutality that resulted in the burning of the KUKI-zo neighbourhood localities & villages down to ashes.
28th May witnessed the charring of Langching, ZouVeng & Khopimun also known as Sugnu Tribal. The meitei mob led by Manipur Police forces torched down the Kuki-zo villages which drew national coverage. The remaining Kuki Villages were continuously burnt from 3rd June till 4th June by the same people. But no one talked about how the meitei Leikai of Sugnu still remained intact to this day which is a clear sign of Who upheld the Peace talk until their houses were looted before they were torched. The reporter that went to cover the story on ground wasn’t allowed to cover the meitei areas & she could only interview a meitei lady who blamed the Kuki locals for all the wrong. Now the Kuki-zo locals of #Sugnu are scattered across the country in relief camps, in different states with deep sense of Betrayal & Resentment.
If the Meitei community really wish for Peace like they’ve been preaching about on National media, they should push for thorough investigation of such Police Stations that went on to Instigate Violence despite it’s people holding onto Peace. They should start within their own community and call a spade a spade. Silence of the learned section of the Meitei community only indicates COMPLIANCE. Until & unless the work & effort for peace begins within the Meitei community it self, PEACE is nothing but a distant dream for all Manipuris - Meitei/Naga/Kuki alike. #ManipurViolence #BirenResign.

Here’s a video of the Villagers of Langching who remained in their village despite being nestled between 2 meitei localities trusting in the PEACE TREATY until they had to flee for their lives on the eerie morning of 28th May to a neighbouring Anal village for safety. They had to flee amidst live bullets shot at them.
