One evening we were headed towards Karen, four of us in an old Mazda car (story for another day).

Pale Dagoretti Corner tukapata Traffic Police road block.

All of us were in beesuits.. si hio ni kesi.

I explained we were harmless beekeepers headed to harvest honey.

We promised to bring them honey on our way back... that excited them.

That evening the harvest was very good and sure enough we brought them lots of honey. They started chewing hapo hapo. Si tukaenda zetu.

A month later, we found the same policemen on our way back from an apiary in Lang'ata

This time they refused to touch our honey.

They told us last time they were forced to close their operation early because all of them developed stomach discomforts.. wakaharisha wote.. continous! 🤣

Almost got detained for 'poisoning' a police officer on duty with intent to interfere with execution of lawful collections.
