@PublicEdTay Not to mention, she's running on "school safety". What about that stunt ensured safety for that board meeting and attendees? Will purposely disrupt school business meetings by breaking decorum - got it. 🙄
@PublicEdTay @ncstudents1st I screenshot the entire page in the context of the website with a timestamp of authentication! I thought surely it would come down super fast.
Contrary to what others may suggest, our public schools are not failing.
Here's something to celebrate: NC students outperformed the national average for AP scores in 2023-24!
Public education isn't perfect. But it's worth investing in & improving.

As NC Republicans prepare to expand school voucher funding by an additional $463 million, Wake County parent Susan Book says this will hurt public schools.

@PublicEdTay I am from Franklin Cnty & have heard family upset about this. Vouchers aside, I have told them this is bc of the state - whose job it is to fund teacher pay. If we have money to fund every app for vouchers, we certainly have what's needed for Leandro/increase in edu funding.
Quick reminder that 17,000 people with developmental disabilities have been waiting for years - some for decades - for basic support services to live their lives. Turns out we *do* know how to clear waitlists. @DisabilityRtsNC@TheArcofNC
"Another right parents have is to have a qualified licensed special education teacher for any child with a disability. Yet I’ve never heard Morrow stand up for that right."
A must-read if you know a kid in NC! https://t.co/klLCgCIB1H
@RovingOliver@MicheleMorrowNC The NC Superintendent has been a Republican for the last 8 years.
The General Assembly, which determines education funding and laws, has had a Republican majority for the last 13 years.
If you’re unhappy with the status quo in NC schools, another Republican is not the answer.
