The previous 8 months did a lot of damage to drought-stricken counties in north and western Oklahoma. Three counties had their driest August-March periods on record, and another 11 had top-5 driest. Things have only accelerated during a dry April thus far. #okwx#okmesonet

I drove mine a million miles on the highways & roads of western Okla, always with a million other things running through my mind, including the potential for tragedy. I can’t convey the relief I feel not having that responsibility of safety on my shoulders anymore.
If you’ve been a staffer, you’ve driven the boss. That comes with its own litany of challenges- depending on said boss. Too many times, I was trying to make up time with mine.
My heart breaks for her staff, in the district and in DC as they deal with this loss.
