Codex by @OpenAIDevs is now the recommended agent in JetBrains AI.
A recommended agent is just a starting point – switch anytime. As models evolve, we'll re-evaluate next month. Here's how we made the decision: 🧵
Writing code isn't the hard part. Creating a productive workflow is.
Air offers parallel, isolated execution, full-project review, and support for Codex, Claude Agent, Gemini CLI, and Junie – all in one place.

Today, we’re announcing a new model for JetBrains AI quotas that is simpler and more transparent. We hope it will give you more clarity about what is included in your plan and how to manage your quota.
The new quotas go live on August 18, with changes applying to your account the next time your quota renews.
Key changes:
✅ Your monthly quota now matches the price of your subscription, with 1 AI Credit equal to USD 1 (charged in the local currency).
✅ Quota will be slightly decreased for some plans, but you will always be able to top up credits.
✅ Usage is priced at public LLM rates, and you pay for what you consume.
✅ When your quota runs out, you can purchase top-up AI Credits.
🗓️ Real-time quota information and detailed usage tracking are coming soon in JetBrains IDEs.
