At REAch Teach, hands-on phonics and reading training gives our trainees real-world skills and confidence, online and in-person. Empowering future teachers and sparking deep learning! Hear from our trainees:
Our East of England trainees are absorbed in all things phonics & reading ITP this week @sprites2015. They’ve been resilient, reflective practitioners using deliberate practice to improve. More learning and practice tomorrow!
It was lovely meeting & working with trainees from @REAchTeachR2 today, looking at the research behind behaviour approaches and seeing effective behaviour strategies being deployed. #FutureEducators
The East of England group had a great in-person ITP yesterday @sprites2015, focusing on how to create effective routines and challenging existing thinking about behaviour systems in schools. Looking forward to more of that enthusiasm today! 🌟
We’re grateful for some wonderful feedback from our first 2024 mentor training today: "Thank you very much for all the support we get as mentors! This new ITT programme sounds amazing and I would have loved to have trained to be a teacher through REAch Teach!"
Really excited to share a sneak peek at what we've been working on with our #itt#mentoring curriculum for September. Our mentor toolkit highlights the skills and competencies we'll be supporting mentors to develop so they can positively impact #trainee 's practice and progress
We are thrilled to be welcoming @reach2trust to Mosaic and are so glad we can help you deliver your vision for excellence in #TeacherTraining!
Thank you for the kind words @McgrealKate!

@nickpointer_ perhaps afford to focus on one small thing over a longer period of time, cannot be directly applied to trainees. This cannot therefore be the only tool of improvement used by mentors for trainee teachers, but instead, practice and rehearsal is one tool that they can use...
@nickpointer_ for certain aspects that lend themselves to being rehearsed. And I agree – let’s call a spade a spade, and stop trying to fit square pegs into round holes. There are certainly elements we can grab hold of, but perhaps, in its purest sense, deliberate practice should only be used..
