Meet one of Iceland's most beloved residents, the Atlantic puffin 🧡
Every summer, millions of these charming seabirds return to Iceland's cliffs to nest, making the country home to the largest Atlantic puffin colony in the world 🇮🇸
You can spot them along the South Coast at Dyrhólaey, with the Reynisdrangar sea stacks rising in the distance 🌊
Their bright orange beaks only turn this colorful during breeding season, roughly mid-May to mid-August ✨
Keep a respectful distance from the birds and stay back from the cliff edges, since they can be steep and unstable ⚠️
Have you met a puffin in the wild yet? 👇

Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon is one of Iceland's most peaceful natural wonders. 🌊✨
Icebergs drift slowly toward the sea, seals lounge on the floes, and the surrounding landscape feels otherworldly. The lagoon was formed in the 1930s as Breidamerkurjokull glacier began retreating, and it grows every year.
