This is a batch of gochujang my grandmother made before she passed away 10 yrs ago. My mom calls it a time capsule. She’s kept it in the basement freezer all these years and wanted to surprise my dad with it one day. So one day, a few weeks ago, my mom brought it out for dinner.

Sun exposure through your window does not work because (as I also just found out) glass filters out the UVB rays that your body converts to vitamin D.

As we enter month 9–12 of social distancing, a PSA to get some sunscreen free sun exposure (10-15 minutes) once or twice a day because you are probably vitamin D deficient.

#MyNameIs Seulki. 기슬기—a palindrome. It means wisdom; my parents hoped I'd grow up wisely, sensibly. 2 years after moving to the US, I asked my parents for an "American" name because no one tried to pronounce it correctly. Those who call me Seulki have a special place in my 💚.

Started reading #The57Bus by @DashkaSlater. It's devastating. Recommend if you care about racial justice, juvenile justice, inequity, Oakland, the Bay, LGBTQ folks, have a beating heart.
