I tabled a motion in Agriculture Committee today to study how we can better protect agricultural land in the future.

319 acres of prime agricultural land is lost every day in Ontario.

Our Agriculture Committee has been studying the horticultural sector and how to improve its climate resilience.

As part of this study, I had the opportunity to question @tialofts from the @CanadaOrganic Trade Association about incentives we could create to help farmers.

To protect farmland and support our farmers, we need data.

I'm thrilled to share that Bill C-355: Prohibition of the Export of Horses by Air for Slaughter has passed Third Reading in the House and will now move on to the Senate.

Today, I spoke in the House about the investments we've made in Wellesley and across the country through the Universal Broadband Fund to deliver high-speed internet to our rural communities.

Our Canada Carbon Rebate is giving families in Kitchener-Conestoga and across Canada hundreds of dollars every 3 months.

We're making life more affordable for the middle class, while ensuring big polluters pay their fair share.

This is on top of the $42.4M fund agreement to accelerate 1,200+ housing units in @CityKitchener.

We’re taking action to drive down the cost of groceries. We’re calling on the leaders of Canada’s 5 largest grocery chains & going to introduce legislative amendments to the Competition Act to foster more competition in our economy, which would help drive down costs.

I encourage all members of all parties to support Bill C-355, the Prohibition of the Export of Horses by Air for Slaughter Act, which I tabled in the House yesterday. Many Canadians oppose this practice, other countries have bans. It's time for Canada to do the same.
