@fishwasher@drewlevin Do I think this will actually impact higher elo that much? No. But I dislike the direction and gradual handholding they're going in the attempt to draw new players.
@fishwasher@drewlevin I think that's a false equivalency. You're giving an example where champion design became more complex versus more simplified as the game grew. This change does the opposite imo, simplifying something that's been a core mechanic for over a decade.
@fishwasher@drewlevin I think League has a real issue appealing to new players, but I'm not sure if dumbing down an established expression of skill in higher ranks is the answer. Like I said I think it's fine for norms and new players as they learn or if they're casual.
@LeagueOfLegends Eventually people have to accept the game has a learning curve and takes skill. Let people who have earned that keep that skill competitively. It's fine in Normals.
@SEGAForgotess It's also arguably one of the most creative/imaginative parts of the pipeline. It often dictates the whole visual language & style for the project. It's so yucky they try to excuse it away.
@BrainEngineer Respectfully as a player since 2013 I am 100% against this. I don't want to support a system that steals work from anyone. And that is exactly what it does. I don't want it replacing artists, writers, etc in ANY capacity. I'll stop putting my money into Riot's games.
@TenshiTTV Definitely look into getting screened for celiac disease! (I have it) The first step is just a blood test, which is pretty easy :) Hope you feel better.
@discord_support Hey, if you implement this I am cancelling nitro and discontinuing use of Discord. Tired of everything preying on personal information and you've proven to not be responsible with data collection before. Been a loyal user for years but I will find an alternative.
There may never have been a day as big as today for indie games.
On the back of mass layoffs of major AAA studios, today more high-profile and under-the-radar gems are releasing on May 9th than any other day in recent memory. They need your support.
Here's a thread of 'em! ๐งต
@wacom It was much cooler when you collaborated with talented artists like loish for your marketing. This just feels cheap and distasteful. Third party vendor? Really? You either knew better and used them anyways or were incredibly stupid to not see those images as AI.
@wacom Why would you use AI in an advertisement when your customer base are real artists with creativity who do things by hand?? Absolutely crazy ๐คก how hard would it have been to contract an artist for one ad. Greedy and uninspired.
