Retail #sugar prices in India surged roughly 16% over a single month, climbing from ₹48.18 per kg on July 20 to ₹55.70 per kg by August 20, 2026.

Rice prices across South India and domestic markets have surged by 10% to 15% (or roughly ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 more per quintal) over recent weeks.

The government attributes the spike to lower domestic output, weather-related crop damage, higher festive demand, and hoarding, while allowing duty-free imports of 10 LMT of raw sugar to stabilize rates.

Now, when the BJP Government tries to "explain" such matters- it is important to find the REAL reasons - The Truth.

#Ethanol raw materials fall into three main biological categories:

A. Sugar crops (sugarcane, molasses, sugar beets),

B. Starch crops (corn, wheat, broken rice, sorghum), and

C. Cellulosic biomass (wood, agricultural straw, bagasse).

It can also be synthesized via fossil-based ethylene hydration process.

That is why sugar price has gone up.

Price rise in #Rice is also phenomenal.

So it is not only #vehicles owners who are faced either serious #damages caused due to proven damage to vehicles but also even lower middle class class or those who have no vehicle.

HAS the petrol prices come down BECAUSE , by logical reasoning, there's 20 percent reduction in petroleum import?

NO.

Farmers also suffer as purchasing capacity of their consumers is sharply reducing.

In other words the suffering due to this ill advised ethnol blending will adverse touch every citizen.

Only #petroleum companies and ethnol making companies will gain and we know who they are and their political connections.

In India, middlemen in sugarcane procurement act as intermediaries between farmers, sugar mills, and seasonal laborers, often siphoning commissions, manipulating weighment scales, and forcing distress sales when mills delay processing or purchase quotas.

THE REAL BENEFICIARIES OF INCREASING SUGAR CANE PRICES ARE THE #MiddleMen.

Most of them are from communities that are strong #BJP Voter base.

The Farmers hardly get ANY benefits.

In fact they suffer even more because of inflation.

This ORGANISED LOOT and LEGALISED PLUNDER can be STOPPED through RESISTANCE and Mass Protests.
