@JDaviesPhD As a professor, you have an ethical obligation to spread evidence-based information not dailymail articles. People with adhd have depressing outcomes across so many life areas. And medication has been found to improve these outcomes. Try critical balance not harmful ego-tripping.
@JDaviesPhD How about letting students’ themselves describe if they have a mental health problem or anxiety? How about you talk about the inhospital world without judging other people’s experiences?
My 93 year old mum waited 9 and a half hours in Dunedin ED corridor 4 weeks ago to be seen by a Dr after being btought in by ambulance. The doctors & nurses are so stretched.
Last year, I warned Kiwis are dying in hospital corridors. @SeanPlunket said it wasn't true. Today, news that 2 patients in 2 months died in ED toilets & doctors & nurses continue to tell of alarming deterioration of public health.
National diverting millions to private care.
@JDaviesPhD You can’t claim to value neurodivergent lived experience and then tell us that what we describe as masking isn’t what we say it is. We are tired of “experts” defining our realities for us. Neurodiversity research must be with and for neurodivergent people-not done to us.
@joannamoncrieff Framing ADHD solely as disorder or deficit can be harmful. But questioning its validity keeps us trapped in that same discourse. Critique should move beyond whether ADHD is “real.” Delegitimisation is another form of harm.
It looks like most of my X feed will now be videos of Glen and I’m OK with it.
This is a rare video of him singing Falling Slowly alone and it’s simply beautiful
ADHDers after oversharing: I have destroyed the relationship and must leave the country
ADHDers when someone overshares with us: Thank fucking god, a real conversation for once.
Please watch this.
An Indigenous NZ politician, speaking to the importance of merely having ‘one’s own’ policy regarding war in the Middle East, and not the one foisted upon us.
Who, amongst #auspol, is speaking with such moral clarity on the issue?
Damn you won't see this in media
Philadelphia Sheriff:
“No law enforcement officer may wear a mask. We will arrest those who wear masks to hide their identity.
If you come to this city and commit a crime, the criminal in the White House cannot keep you from going to prison.”
