@coupdecoeur@alexandrite113 It seems it may have some effect on blood pressure

Risk of heart attack in women https://t.co/UhuT0bo46v
And possibly autoimmunity

@oisyph0683@angryhacademic@Dan_Wyke (Luteolin slows down COMT so can slow down stress hormones clearance - triggering anxiety and mood issues for some people)
@oisyph0683@angryhacademic@Dan_Wyke Not sure about legs, but it seems to create spasms/muscle tightness in my back. It's still early days, but I tried luteolin for something else and it relaxed it within 30mins (seems to be best to mix with oil, start low and work up if trying - I got effects with 1/4 capsule)
@gymrat_bookworm There's likely a link to the hypermobility common with ADHD too

The COVID-19 Pandemic had highlighted the urgent need for a Paradigm shift in the way we approach post-acute infection syndromes

@secretspartacus@JackHadfield14 COVID seems to deplete thiamine, thiamine supports histamine clearance and supplementing can improve POTS symptoms in some people
@Nursey1994@subversivepsych It is, this is the same story from the researchers if it would help

It's looking like hEDS may be immune dysregulation that's breaking down the connective tissue - which explains why we seem to have higher rates of ME and long-C

@Karl_Lauterbach Recent research seems to suggest that vaccines reduce the rate of dementia, so possibly a common viral cause? Or that those who don't get vaccinated tend to have partners that also don't get vaccinated?

@whitemakaka@austinxwalker Or even a basic one - not completely reliable as not clinical grade, but for an affordable starting point a basic 23&me or Ancestry test + Genetic Lifehacks website have helped a lot to figure out where to start and what's likely to make us worse
@pemilo123 Autistic people are at increased risk of developing ME/CFS. It's worth learning what Post-Exertional Malaise (PEM) looks like if only to rule it out. Rolling PEM (from pushing through) looks a lot like what we call autistic burnout
@NoNonsenseND We seem to have high rates of mitochondrial dysfunction, and often have genetic issues with folate
Supporting mitochondrial health can help
Please look into ME/CFS and the signs of PEM, a lot of what we class as autistic shutdown or burnout may be unrecognised PEM
@MeghanEMurphy The X chromosome has some immune system genes. Women have 2 X's, one usually gets "silenced" but this process doesn't always work which can result in an overactive immune system that can attack our bodies (autoimmune disease)

@halfateaspn Magnesium (for me, bisglycinate, taurate or malate but bisglycinate can cause anxiety for about 1 in 5).
Taurine, I use the powder form.
B vitamins to cope with stress. Dysautonomia can be made worse by thiamine (B1) deficiency in particular (but they need taking as a group)
