@DavidSa11042009 @ProjectLincoln It’s a talking point now because id is not free and is required to register to vote, this a poll tax in the bill’s current form. This isn’t hard. If this bill forces ppl to get the required id to vote and it cost money then it’s a poll tax. If you can’t afford you can’t vote.

Thus this bill is a voter suppression bill. If all forms of ID needed to vote were free of charge then we could debate, until that’s in the bill 🤷🏾‍♂️

Force more cost on voters for a passport or force married women to go through the process after a name change, it’s pure hoops to jump through. No passport, well that will cost you almost $200 to get one so you can vote, how is that now suppressing?

id and re-register for the sake of preventing fraud that not one entity, including the Heritage Foundation, has found. How is that not suppression?
