District95 / LZ peeps. Check out the new Buffalo Wild Wings GO by the “new” Jewel (across from the Taco Bell). Carry out BW3 wings with perfect ratio of sauce to meat.
💙 Huge thank you to Baird & Warner Lake Zurich and everyone who came out to support the Community Shred Event benefiting Joanie’s Closet!
We are so grateful for this amazing community! 💙
@VintageGamerArt Some combo suggestions - Colts: Eric Dickerson and Chris Hinton, Cards: Roy Green and Neil Lomax, Browns: Newsome and either Kosar or Brian Sipe,
@xwanyex Without property tax, you don’t incentivize owners to put property to productive uses. Eventually you end up all of the property in the hands of a new nobility. Other than maybe the top 5%, the vast majority are better off with the tax in the long run.
@united You have a great employee in Daniel M. at CLT! Our flight to ORD has been delayed by ~4hours and he was the only person at Charlotte or Premier Customer Service # who has been able to explain what is going on. He’s top notch and we appreciate him!
@nationalcares - we had an issue with my rental contract at PSP this morning. Mina was fantastic - resolved the problem quickly and determined how it had happened so he could prevent it from reoccurring. Great Service!
@tonyannett And the New Deal was in the 30s (not the period you hold up as an example) and data shows it prolonged the Great Depression. If you are trying to imply 90% tax rates and social insurance programs caused the ‘47/73 expansion you are wrong.
@tonyannett lasted from 1947 until maybe 1973 and was the strongest economy ever because the rest of the industrialized world was destroyed and recovering from WWII…the tax rates and Great Society were a result not the cause.
Always Go To The Funeral
“Always go to the funeral” means that I have to do the right thing when I really, really don’t feel like it. I have to remind myself of it when I could make some small gesture, but I don’t really have to and I definitely don’t want to. I’m talking about those things that represent only inconvenience to me, but the world to the other guy. You know, the painfully under-attended birthday party. The hospital visit during happy hour. The Shiva call for one of my ex’s uncles. In my humdrum life, the daily battle hasn’t been good versus evil. It’s hardly so epic. Most days, my real battle is doing good versus doing nothing.”
