@ShaiBandit@xAuthenticateMe All my previous and current projects are all profitable and earn enough to pay for themselves. I've never needed to add ads just to pay upkeep costs or turn a profit ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
@ShaiBandit@xAuthenticateMe Why delete your replies?
Anyways, my response:
IG you do have high upkeep costs if you're paying $99 a month for AI slop anti-bot, along with server costs. LMFAO.
Are your operating costs really that high that you need to generate revenue outside of premium subscriptions, such as through ads?
I also doubt you need multiple servers to handle the bot at its current scale.
For comparison, running Kiyora v1, our verification bot with almost the same features, cost around $20 USD per month, excluding the annual domain fee. At $4.99 per premium subscription, just five purchases a month would have been enough to cover the entire upkeep cost.
We also offered a very generous free tier, similar to yours, so I find it hard to understand why additional revenue streams, such as ads, would be necessary unless your operating costs are significantly higher.
@xAuthenticateMe Where is that located at?
Also you force people off ad blockers....

Or storing email for disposable checking (which is kinda redundant as discord blocks most disposable emails already)
Verification data is minimal compared to what they can obtain from Discord. Most of the data comes from the browser or request headers (which should've been hashed and salted).
When server owners, advertisers, or people using Doogle access the service, their email addresses are logged for that purpose. I have no fucking idea why Discord allows people to use this without additional verification, considering it's rarely useful.
@BananaJuju_ They really need to restrict a lot of OAuth scopes and require verification for anything that grants access to sensitive user data.
They should also require larger bots to undergo some form of code or security audit if theyโre handling that much PII.
@Pirat_Nation Discord really needs to restrict bot developers from using high risk OAuth scopes like "Email." Itโs fucking ridiculous how many bots abuse this just to collect and store user information, or practically dox users (Vaultcord).
