Regarding browser privacy settings, yes, we allow server owners to block privacy settings as part of their verification requirements.
Browsers like Brave and Firefox offer privacy protections that can modify or spoof certain browser characteristics.
While these features are valuable for privacy, they can also affect browser fingerprint consistency.
By giving server owners control over these settings, we allow them to choose the level of verification and protection that best suits their community.
We do not sell or share users collected data with third parties, and we have no intention of doing so.
1. The consent options are displayed in the center of the screen when you first visit the site.
2. Yes, we do ask users to disable their ad blockers. Once disabled, you can access the consent options and manage the data collected by Google and other advertising vendors. We understand that not everyone is comfortable with ads, which is why we provide those controls.
3. You're right that "Discord blocks MOST disposable email" providers, but not all. Checking for them adds another layer of protection against abuse.
At the end of the day, how do you expect us to cover our operating costs without generating revenue?
Most of our features are completely free. The features that incur additional costs as traffic grows are covered by our Premium subscription, helping us keep the core service accessible to everyone.
We're trying to strike a balance between privacy, security, sustainability, and keeping the service free for as many people as possible.
🚨 Double Counter has discontinued https://t.co/vyvW3msEIt, its controversial privacy tool designed to search for Discord users alternate accounts.
#DoubleCounter#Discord
I have just been in contact with the hacker, and they have confirmed that all my data (except for my IPs) still exists and has not been deleted, even though I filed a GDPR deletion request. They even still have data linked to an alt account that also filed a GDPR deletion request
@Biast12 Their claims are still false. Nothing is encrypted, and even the owner, Nathan, admitted that "data that will be reused, such as emails or IPs, can't be hashed for obvious reasons" That directly contradicts the claims they're making.

@InsiderGamingIG And this is exactly why privacy-focused alternatives to Double Counter matter. Your data shouldn't be the price you pay for security.
Consider switching to us.
@aquasoils@discord Big bots don't face major consequeses, a good example is MEE6. Lots of server owners still choose to use Double Counter for whatever reason.
@Pirat_Nation Right, but requiring multi billion dollar companies to request peoples ID’s ain’t complicated at all. They only do stuff when it benefits them.
