It's the same reason why when a pass gets dirted with no receiver around is not called grounding, if you were in a throwing motion when you got hit.

Most of those plays end up being empty hand fumbles, not backwards passes

The only unicorn who's bucked that trend is Josh Allen. Had the highest jump in "accuracy" from year 1 to 3 in modern NFL history.

@MoveTheSticks I wonder if this is really a DL tweet? Meaning, virtually every NFL team has freaks or monster human beings on the DL. It's a supply/demand thing, with only 32 teams. They need to beef up the OL to match.
In CFB week in and out you just aren't dealing with freak DL like the NFL?
