It's about difference u pay

Usually amount is date changing charges+ fare difference.

Here fare difference is shown as 2 times the ticket rates for new dates( which is already available on the same website)

How @makemytrip scams ppl in international flight cancellations

I had booked a flight for 4 pax on Oct 8-13 cochin singapore and return

Wanted to change dates to November 5&10th

Airline charges and MakeMyTrip charges applicable for cancellation..accepted

Now here is the scam

@makemytrip The website says we need to pay date change charges plus fare difference

The flights are available at 40-45k per person whereas date change charges are 55k .Ie, it makes sense to cancel flight and rebook than going for date change. Date change is costing 2 x flight ticket rates

Date change charges are 2x the tickets of the new date. Makes sense to cancel and book a new one than opting for date change
