@Jax87539443 This is heartbreaking. The school really needs to get on top of it ASAP and if not you need to speak to the governors if you haven't already, due to the severity I'd hope the chair is already aware but worth checking.
Many congratulations to Marc Jones, re-elected as PCC in #Lincolnshire. That's the first PCC result I've seen so far - has anyone spotted any others? Grateful for any pointers in the direction of other results as I'm pulling together a piece for @PolicingInsight and @policingtv
THREAD ๐งต Iโm often asked what my affiliation is to policing or what the reasons are behind tweeting about policing ๐ Up until 10 yrs ago I knew little about policing, I consumed what we see/hear on news and anecdotally, but that all changed when I was invited on a ride along ๐จ
@PastoralThings Last night at our governors meeting we were briefed on the Essex approach of Trauma Perceptive Practice (TPP), to address situations just like this, understand the situation and therefore the response.
Great start to #policeconf23 with expert and comprehensive introductions by @CCGavinStephens and @DonnaJonesPCC highlighting important progress, challenges and opportunities for the ethical and proportionate use of AI, video and automation.
Please join me tomorrow morning with PCC Lisa Townsend of @SurreyPolice and Gill Scott-Moore, of @policecareuk "Right Care, Right Person - Crisis Mental Health Care and the Future of Partnership Working" #Mentalhealth#Policing https://t.co/tOgKZFWxYV
@PFEW_HQ I'm a massive supporter and advocate for our police, but the way you take stats from different decades and try to draw conclusions baffles me. Let's try and make today and tomorrow better.
@MarcNoteborn@Microsoft365 Yep it's mad that with all the technology you can't mirror something as simple as a signature between desktop and phone with outlook after all these years
Excellent footage of officer and dog professionalism. What our officers have to endure is appalling, but what is even more sickening is how the low life can attack 2 officers and members of the public and the CJ system thinks a suspended sentence is justice. Appalling. #police
@steve_k9 Excellent well done both of you, perfect professionalism. Once again, yourselves and the public are let down by a disgusting CJS, will we ever see justice in our life times? I sadly doubt it ๐ข
Great hearing from @ruha9 about reform and looking more to society rather than the police. In different words I would agree - we need a whole system approach, with the right resources tasked, the police are too often the fallback due to other service failings #RSAviraljustice
โThereโs a real reticence and discomfort to discuss reforming the police and carceral institutions. Weโve been brought up to think we need them to secure normality and order.โ @ManduReid, leader of @WEP_UK, on rethinking our prison system. #RSAviraljustice
We started in Hull for some much needed business planning time and ended with a great session with the Met yesterday afternoon. It's a busy few months ahead, summer holidays can't come soon enough! ๐
A productive end to a packed week, meeting with the @metpoliceuk as they seek to continually improve frontline delivery. Great to be joined by my team in Westminster on a very agreeable day to be in the capital.
