Seeing the national media clown on the Pacers for trading this pick for Ivica Zubac knowing they did the same thing when Kevin Pritchard traded for Victor Oladipo, Aaron Nesmith and Pascal Siakam. Maybe just maybe he and his team are better talent evaluators than podcasters lol
Cameron Kasky: "You don’t get to say the word illegals anymore."
Scott Jennings: "Who are you to tell me what I can and can't say? I've never met you, brother. I can say whatever I want. They're illegal aliens, and that's what the law calls them."
Honestly I'd rather the Pacers sign Ayo in the offseason than be saddled with some project like Wilson or Boozer at the end of the bench on a championship roster.
Today was a good day.
Democrats are openly bragging that they voted in Indiana’s GOP primary to protect weak incumbents from conservatives.
They tried it in my race last cycle. They lost.
Indiana must close its primaries. Republican primaries are for Republicans. Period.
Crazy how for years Zubac was universally known as under-rated and on one of the best contracts in the NBA.
Then, the Pacers lose pick 5 and folks say it's the worst trade of all-time (LMAO) and rag on Zu. I can't wait for him to dominate next season #YesCers
(also, the pacers would not have even had that pick, which they previously traded for Siakam, unless the front office had the forethought to trade for it back while the roster they assembled was competing in the finals)
The pacers drafted jarace Walker at 7
Benn mathurin at 6
They’re never sniffed an all star game
But people are so certain that pick 5 in this draft is gonna be an all nba guard
Lolz
As long as Pacers ownership is willing to pay to keep this core together for the long run they made the right decision. A top pick would’ve been great but this is the best 5 we have ever had and we were in Game 7 of the Finals 11 months ago
On Adam Silver’s bald headed evil soul Pacers are still running it back to the Finals next year
0 chance this team hasn’t gotten a top 5 pick since the world wide web was fucking invented. Shit is genuinely rigged
We watched the team’s franchise player sustain a major injury in the most heartbreaking way possible on the cusp of a championship. Then, watched the rest of the team get torpedoed by non-stop injuries. There were two franchise-worst losing streaks. Now, this.
Bottom line for Indiana from Zu’s biggest fan:
Zubac was an all-nba level player in 24-25, his team completely fell apart the next year + he played through ankle ligament damage he suffered in December. There’s very little to take away from this season.
Not a single big in the league can match versatility as both a post creator & play finisher at a legit all-defense level, while also being arguably the best rebounder & screener in the league.
Gonna be winning a lot of games in the next 3-5 years.
