@stack_tracy_@engineering_bae You can email me directly at [email protected] - you can also add me in LinkedIn but I'm not great about checking it so email's probably the best way. I'm also in the DC women who code slack if you're on there!
@jasminecrowe Get power of attorney while they are still capable of giving it!!! Otherwise if they are incapacitated, even spouse/family can't make decisions, access insurance benefits or finances, and getting guardianship is MUCH harder
@notshenetworks Designate power of attorney to someone so they can access all your accounts and make decisions on your behalf - if you're incapacitated but still alive it's MUCH harder for someone else (even your spouse) to do these things without it
@vogueandcode Make sure you check the dimensions of the base before buying - they can be quite big! Mine sticks out a bit but I got creative and use it to hang my headphones ๐
@vogueandcode I love mine! They're pretty affordable now too, this one was $350 from monoprice. 40"+ was too much for me, but I have an old imac that I use as an extra display when I want more screen space - also comes in handy to have something smaller to use when screen sharing
@_spacemaker B - I like being able to save things with the exact size/color/etc but not buy it yet, and move in/out of my cart easily. Wishlist/favorites is more like things I'm interested in and want to save but haven't decided if I actually want to buy
@AfricaKenyah@codeability I feel this! At the end of the day if this is what it takes to convince someone to prioritize accessibility, I tell myself the impact outweighs the harm, but if we were centering people with disabilities to begin with then maybe we wouldn't need so much convincing!
