Dr @ShahMeenesh, Chairman, NDDB as Chief Guest delivered an address during the inaugural ceremony of the 14th Alumni Convention at SMC Dairy Science college, @KamdhenuUni in the presence of Dr NH Kelawala, Vice Chancellor, Kamdhenu University; Dr RRB Singh, Vice Chancellor, Dau Sri Vasudev Chandrakar Kamdhenu University, Chhattisgarh; Dr Atanu Jana, Principal, SMC Dairy Science College; Dr AG Bhadania, President, Alumni Association and other distinguished guests and participants.
Addressing the alumni and students of SMC dairy science college, Chairman, NDDB highlighted the recent strides that NDDB and Indian dairy sector has undertaken towards making the dairy sector more efficient, effective as well as sustainable to ensure better livelihoods to farmers and quality milk & milk products to the consumers. He emphasized the role being played by NDDB with the network of dairy cooperatives towards improving productivity, disease control, end-to-end traceability, digitalisation etc. to make India ‘Dairy to the World’. Dr Shah also briefed about the recent Multi-state Cooperative Societies formed for Organics, Seeds and export which are complementing each other to provide a better and efficient ecosystem to farmers to get better price of their produce. Dr Shah also enunciated the future roadmap and the efforts required to be undertaken to make our dairy sector more competitive across the world.
During the event, Dr Shah, an alumnus of SMC Dairy Science College also got felicitated for his outstanding contributions to the dairy sector.
