@RTCSNV the light turned green 4 minutes after this post. A gentleman up ahead got out of his vehicle and pressed the pedestrian crossing button, which finally triggered it.

El Niño has completely dissipated in the equatorial Pacific. We have now returned to a neutral pattern, with neither El Niño nor La Niña present. #transition

3.4 Region temperature is currently 0.9 degrees Celsius below the El Niño threshold.

• Off the coast of Peru, sea surface temperatures are cooling, indicating a favorable shift towards La Niña.

• Even though El Niño has ended, late-season storms can still occur during the transition phase. There is still enough warm water in the tropics that can influence our region, resulting in rainfall.

• The weather becomes more volatile in either direction during this time, as it can go in either direction.
