@SouthwestAir had an unsatisfactory boarding experience as well as an unsatisfactory email response from your rep when I emailed about it. Why don't you let us respond to customer service emails??
I didn't realize how being in a K-12 school would enrich our experience but delivering signs for the graduating seniors with my kindergartener was so cute and special. We also got to deliver one to her principal's house which is pretty silly if you're in K! 🤣😍 @merrolhydehawks
Finally found someone to do my long runs with me. 7 miles she just kept yelling "I want more milesssss!" Never too young to teach mental toughness. Now if only @goodr would sponsor us...
It's last period on the Friday of Halloween week and I still managed to hear "can we work on this forever?!" And "can we have more time?" I call that a successful day.
The task:
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Two sweet precious 7th graders dressed up as me and @misslangfordela for Halloween Dress Up day today, complete with teaching part of our class today 💕. KDDC has the best kids!
"Sometimes, when I watch a show, I get this feeling that I don't want to get off the couch"
-Crosley, age 5. She figured out the feeling she's going to feel after every show for the rest of her life.
What better way to kick off our first Algebra unit than with a little problem solving task?! Can you figure out how many seals go in the question mark? Students refused to give up and even went back to work on it more after finishing other class work!
These Kinder hawks visited the cafeteria during high school lunch on their “listening walk” to experience the 5 senses. Love our K-12 @merrolhydehawks!💙💛 #MHExcellence#SumnerAchieves
Building Thinking Classrooms is forcing my students to up their game and I love it! Today Ss had to make -11 through 9 using only -1, -2, -3, -5, + and -. My favorite part was listening to them completely perplexed how to get positive sums from negative integers. The best!!
Did I cry on my KinderHawks first day of school?? Nope.
Am I crying now when I just heard that today, she and a friend invited someone from the "Buddy Bench" to come play with them at recess?? Sure am.
Be an includer! @merrolhydehawks#SumnerAchieves
KDDC collaboration time! 8th grade advanced math students taught my 7th graders some skills to prep them for the fall and It. Was. Adorable. They were prepped with notes pages, white boards, practice problems, and exit tickets. Great job, 8th graders! @floodm28
