Important summary from Axios revealing how critical American fatigue with Israel and foreign military interventions are as drivers of the political earthquake on both the Left and Right:
- The numbers are brutal: Pew Research found 60% of Americans now view Israel unfavorably, including 80% of Democrats and 57% of Republicans under 50.
- For Democrats, Israel's actions in Gaza bundle together everything young left-wing voters hate about the old party: war, money in politics, gerontocracy and deference to a foreign policy consensus they see as morally bankrupt.
- For Republicans, the fight over Israel is also a fight over the future — pitting an aging, pro-Israel establishment against a young base that views foreign intervention as the original sin "America First" was meant to cure.

It is not Lebanon that is emerging as the weak link in the memorandum, but rather Israel.
Once again, Israel refuses to be bound by any regional ceasefire and wants to include clauses that allows it to turn the ceasefire into a Swiss cheese. Just as it has in Gaza and in Lebanon before, it wants to render the ceasefire void of any meaning.
So far, the Iranians are standing firm. Not just because it needs to defend its standing amongst the Axis and not appear as having betrayed them.
But also because the entire agreement won't be worth the paper it's written on if Trump even before the agreement comes into effect starts to cave to Israeli pressure.
No US Iran agreement will be useful if the United States cannot rein in Israel.
This will be a test for Trump.
America First or Israel First?
After watching #JD's final words on the failing of the #Ceasefire Talks, taken from a podium in the building where the talks were held; I consider ... Perhaps JD Vance should better inspect the Fatwa of #AyatollahKhamenei, St. with respect to #uranium and the concept of #nuclear weapons?
"Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s nuclear fatwa, first issued orally around 2003 and later reiterated, essentially promised that the production, stockpiling, and use of nuclear weapons are religiously forbidden (haram) under Islamic law." Wikipedia
"The fatwa served as the central pillar of Iran's public stance that its nuclear program is exclusively for peaceful purposes." Wikipedia Credit AI

New York City’s Mayor just said what most elected officials won’t.
“We always seem to have money for war. But not to feed the poor.”
Mamdani didn’t stop there.
Thousands of civilians killed. Tens of billions spent. And every program that gets called “unrealistic” — housing, healthcare, schools — costs a fraction of what this war has already burned through.
He’s right.
We are now in the midst of the ninth day of a joint war by the USA and Israel against Iran. I invite you to peruse a policy document, https://t.co/GjtgUqhLVh, which was prepared in 1996 by Richard Perle, Douglas Feith et al. for Benjamin Netanyahu, then Prime Minister of Israel.
This 30 year old report promotes a new approach to solving Israel's security problems in the Middle East. While Netanyahu did not adopt the entire report at the time, it is often cited as a foundational document for modern Israeli security doctrine due to the involvement of its authors in U.S. policy-making.
The architects of The Clean Break are influencing the 2026 Trump administration's Middle East policy. Strikingly, David Feith, son of co-author Douglas Feith, was appointed to the National Security Council in 2025, alongside other figures implementing policies aligned with the original strategy.
@tparsi ... a rhetorical tool used by opponents to highlight the irony of a "revolutionary" regime adopting hereditary succession—a practice the 1979 revolution was specifically designed to end.
Iran welcomes her new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the late Supreme Leader. He is considered the most hardline among the three and represents a continuation of his father’s security-focused policies.
Citizenry Stance: He was a primary target of criticism during the 2022 "Woman, Life, Freedom" protests. He is also linked to the violent 2009 crackdown on the Green Movement.
Political Views: He maintains strong ties to the IRGC and the Basij paramilitary, suggesting a likely preference for "defiant consolidation" and domestic suppression to ensure regime survival.
As for security and survivability, Mojtaba Khamenei has remained "reclusive" for decades. By staying out of the public eye and avoiding official state roles, the regime has made him a harder target to track and profile compared to public-facing officials.

Mr. Homan,
So, it is common sense to send all your data bases' 'targets' to jail, and to forego due process in a country which claims to survive on rule of law. For all feeling a lump in your body following today's speech ... you are one of many for this is directly opposed to linear logical or synergistic thinking.
His philosophy is eerily similar to that of Miller and that mimicked by Trump. Homan is far trickier than his predecessor Bovino ... and far more dangerous.
Critical - The Monroe Doctrine of 1833 is adopted and renamed as the "Donroe Doctrine" ... the agenda has further unravelled.
Courtesy AI,
"The Monroe Doctrine, proclaimed by U.S. President James Monroe in 1823, was a foundational U.S. foreign policy declaring the Western Hemisphere closed to new European colonization and intervention, while the U.S. would stay out of European affairs, establishing separate spheres of influence and positioning America as a regional power to protect newly independent Latin American nations from old-world interference. This policy became a cornerstone of American foreign policy for over a century, asserting U.S. dominance and non-interference in the Americas."
