@thebradking The struggle is eternal. Gendered nouns are a catastrophe (at least for lazy language learners like, um, me). I do think Schmetterling is a pretty word though! 🦋
Based on a single stolen document, Russian authorities including #Putin spun basic science on #bat parasites into a fable about bioweapons labs in #Ukraine. Experts call it a classic #disinformation campaign. For the researchers involved, it's a nightmare: https://t.co/5lyCVJ9Gx0
@stshank @mwichary Seriously the best costume. And a powerful dance-move enhancer, I remember. That @figmadesign foto is wild, belongs on the cover of a 1978 Analog Science Fiction mag.
@umarket They've apparently issued a correction on that specific metric -- that was a prediction that is no longer true. But doesn't invalidate the larger point in any way, it's a total disaster.
@benno I don't want to trigger you or anything, but how do you feel about it as an adjective? Like: "I invest in impact startups". That's my current bugbear.
@thebradking @theemmachristie @TheWritersJam @TheD20Authors Yay! Estonia is fun. Also Berlin is on the way. :) Except we won't be vaccinated until 2026, so lots of time to plan. Hi @theemmachristie!
@mollytempleton Yes, but thicker, like a real pen. V. comfortable and natural to hold, you tap to click, etc. Check Wacom or Huion (cheaper). I had such RSI issues with mouse finger that even ergo mouses didn't work. Very mileage-may-vary, but might be worth including in your search. Good luck!
@mollytempleton Pen-style mice/input things have helped me quite a bit, much more than regular ergo mice. Definitely a hurdle getting used to them, but once you're there, can swap back and forth, reduce stress that way.
