@annadriels @seungryufan The show isn’t perfect but the amount of video essays, TikToks, and Reddit posts hating on it would’ve been significantly lower if she’d been white. They can say it’s the pacing, humor, etc. but what actually pisses them off is that a black girl is the love interest.

@annadriels Yeah I also feel like if they continued to hate each other after Annabeth and Percy got together, it would be petty for no reason. Like two girls who’ve decided to keep up a beef bc they’re both still bitter about “fighting” over Percy. But there’s no reason to still be bitter.

@owletwise Yeah the delusional explanations for why s4 hasn’t been renewed are getting a little old lol. If we want s4, s3 needs the numbers to justify it. The best thing to focus on right now is getting more ppl invested in the show, subscribed, & watching consistently.

@tashi_dunk @Iris7459 Even though it got billions of minutes, s2 still declined more than Disney would’ve liked. That doesn’t mean that s3 has to do as well as s1 but I suspect Disney is looking for some kind of rebound to justify the costs of doing s4/5. Like OP said, we just have to lock in for s3.

@crystalsthirdey They only care about Annabeth because she’s the love interest lol. I haven’t seen anywhere near as many complaints about other race-swapped characters and even when they do complain, it’s always just so they can seem “fair” when they take a shot at Annabeth’s casting.

@Onigurli @SpiralObserver @vzzeo Depends on the job. Any hourly jobs I’ve had never paid for lunch, so they made sure you clocked out. But the positive of that is that you can leave folks on read & literally do whatever you want during that period. But for salaried jobs, sometimes they can be less accommodating.

It was decent but I primarily read it because my friends were also into it. After re-reading as an adult, I still like the books but I appreciate the changes the show has made.

@Kiara_Diane_ Like this is what needs to keep happening! As much as I love other aspects of the show, Percabeth is the driving force of this fandom. And we need to milk it as much as possible all the way to a double s4/s5 renewal lol

@melanwisegirl Everyone just needs to show up and show out for season 3. And people need to get their friends invested asap. Disney’s marketing is okay but I think we as fans can do so much just by getting the word out online & real life. Like keep sharing, making edits, reactions, etc.
