🚨 BREAKING: Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya’s life is in imminent danger, with credible fears that he may be extrajudicially killed, according to the latest information conveyed by his lawyer.

@EuroMedHR has also received information that Dr. Marwan Al-Hams is being subjected to daily torture sessions that have caused his heart to stop, placing his life at immediate risk.

Today, Euro-Med Monitor urgently requested the @ICRC to conduct immediate visits to both detainees.

🚨Breaking: Dr. Hussam Abu-Safeia, director of Kamal Edwan Hospital, is being killed by Israeli Occupation Forces.

Dr. Hussam is heavily tutored, and each time his lawyer visits, new injuries are discovered on him.

His last words to his lawyer were: “They brought me here to kill me; this is my end.”

Israel has already killed Dr. Hussam’s son, and now it’s Dr.Hussam’s turn.

🇲🇾 For breakfast this morning, I had Roti Sarang Burung, which literally means “bird’s nest bread.” It’s a crispy roti canai with two eggs cooked in the middle and spicy sardine sambal on the side. The mix of soft egg yolk, flaky roti, and rich sardine sauce worked really well together. Simple but full of flavour. A nice change from the usual roti canai and a great way to start the day.

I was brought here by Mak, a member of my Asian Train Guide Facebook group. He spotted me walking around town. We ate at Roti Canai Railway opposite the old railway station in Taiping. He then kindly showed me around his town. I will share those photos with you later. I’m glad I stopped here overnight. It’s a nice town and also an important place as the first railway line started from here.

🇲🇾 Breakfast today in Ipoh ☕🍞. I stopped by a small food court behind the clock tower and had Roti Telur Goyang — literally “wobbly egg bread.” It’s a local favourite, made with buttered toast topped with soft-boiled eggs, a bit of soy sauce, and pepper. The bread was slightly sweet, which went really well with the creamy yolks.

It reminded me a bit of the English breakfast classic coddled egg, but with a Malaysian twist. Simple, comforting, and delicious. What should I eat for lunch?

🇲🇾 I am now in Taiping after taking the electric train here from Padang Besar. My first meal was at the popular Restoran Ansari Famous Cendol, just a short walk from my hotel. Here I tried their Pasembor. A mix of shredded cucumber, turnip, boiled potato, fried tofu, and crispy fritters, all coated in a thick, sweet-spicy peanut sauce. Very delicious.

To finish, I had a bowl of Cendol Kacang, topped with red beans, shaved ice, coconut milk, and palm sugar syrup. It’s similar to Thai Lod Chong, but with extra toppings and deeper flavours. A perfect way to cool down after a long and hot day.

BREAKING: Police arrested Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin for protesting against Israel's war on Gaza at the US Congress.

The co-founder of the anti-war group said they were treated "like criminals," and footage shows her being thoroughly searched multiple times and placed in handcuffs.

Benjamin called on US Congressmen Jerry Nadler to respond to a coalition of lawyers who are calling on Trump to halt military aid to Israel, because its actions in Gaza do not comply with US and international humanitarian law.
