Today we unanimously passed the Senate’s #propertytax package. To briefly summarize, it contains:

- Ensures school disctricts will be held harmless
- $18B total in Property Tax cuts
- Increases the Homestead Tax exemption from $40K to $100K per homestead.

Want to read something great today? My brother Michael graduated with his Associates in Human Resources from @AlamoColleges1. We both aged out of #fostercare at 18. He joined the military. 2/3 of us who aged out, now college graduates.

@Menendez4Texas @BexarCountyFES I believe we are the first siblings had to graduate from this program. I remember when we started this program and I told Airika Buford that my goal was to get my other brothers through it so that we had an even more powerful story to share. Two down. One to go. 🤞🏼🥳
