I am so over discussions of health as separate from social factors, ignoring things like poverty, racism and sexism. Social determinants are more important influences on health and longevity than personal factors such as genes, blood pressure and what you eat.
Such important voices and issues. On MMT (methadone maintenance therapy): “it felt like control, but really other people had the control, not me”, and it’s “liquid handcuffs”... I’m hoping policy makers, government and care providers are listening to this podcast...
