Kane Tallowin, also known as @Defacedstudio, is a multidisciplinary artist from Norwich, UK. After starting in graphic design, he transitioned to freelance art and quickly gained recognition in Web3, including showcasing at Christie’s during Frieze Seoul in 2023.

He’s renowned for his surreal world-building and cartoonish characters infused with contemplative human emotions. His latest work highlights a passion for traditional techniques, blending sharp humor with a unique exploration of internal struggles. Asprey Studio proudly presents the latest production by @Defacedstudio, featuring Kane Tallowin’s remarkable 10 new works, launching during London Frieze Week on 8 October at our Mayfair gallery.

Among the 10 unique new pieces, You Could Suffer in Heaven stands as a large, hyper-detailed creation that immerses viewers into the labyrinthine complexity of the artist’s mind. This intricate work intertwines layers of symbolism and visual narratives, drawing on references from Bosch and Goya to mythological figures such as the Minotaur.
