"Australians deserve to get a fair return on the export of our gas."
"Companies can export it...but they should be paying us 25% of whatever they get for that gas."
- Senator @DavidPocock 👏👏👏

Albo shreds Angus who admits his door is open to One Nation
“The door isn’t open, there’s no door. They’re in the same policy room”🔥
Tells Angus he should “go into any hospital & ask what would happen if we got rid of everyone who works but wasn’t born in Australia”💥 #auspol
Like Trump, Hanson recruits bozos who could not get a political role or profile elsewhere. That’s the source of their loyalty. Up until they realised they are disposable on the altar of Pauline and are being used.
As PM @AlboMP and national Cabinet grapple with conserving our petrol/diesel stocks as US /Israel-Iran war remains unresolved, here 👇veteran observer Shaun Carney reckons it’s time for Australia to shift away from our dependence on the USA - Trump or no Trump. Good thinking.
So in one post a senior One Nation figure warns of threats to free speech and in the next Pauline Hanson says she would defund the ABC because she doesn’t like its reporting.
What a rabble!
Australia Institute analysis shows that if the Albanese government had introduced a 25% gas export tax back in 2022, it would have raised more than $63 billion!
"During the post-Covid year, gas companies made up to $40 billion in profit from that crisis."
@zalisteggall#auspol
So, remember how Pauline Hanson voted against the 25% gas export tax proposed by David Pocock?
Well, it appears Hanson was spotted at a Minerals Council of Australia event in Canberra this week!
That’s the lobby for… you guessed it! The gas and mining lobby.
Take a look ➡️
Only Labor has stood steadfast against the divisive politics of Hanson, Barnaby Joyce and their growing band of rats and rejects.
What is also clear is that only Labor can stop One Nation. Labor puts One Nation last on our how to vote cards. We have been doing so for the entire time they have existed as a political party.
"The federal government has asked the Fair Work Commission to give minimum- and award-wage workers an above-inflation pay rise this year."(ABC)
No doubt the LNP & One Nation will not express any support for such a pay rise. More than likely they will express opposition to it.
While our world comes apart over #Iran war I am pleased I live in #Australia. We are stable secure nation with responsible Parliaments and solid economic system that is well managed. We can handle all crises with confidence.
David Pocock has achieved more as a single Independent MP in four years than Pauline Hanson and her entire circus of expensive clowns have achieved in 20 years. #auspol
BREAKING: Labor is backing another pay rise for 2.7M minimum wage and award workers.
Today we've made a submission to the Annual Wage Review recommending the Fair Work Commission award an economically sustainable real wage increase to Australia’s award workers.
The minimum wage is now $175 a week higher than when we came to office.
This is just another way we're helping with the cost of living, alongside all the support we’re rolling out like tax cuts and cheaper medicines.
Trump just paid offshore wind farm developer TotalEnergies $1.3b to not build a wind farm.
There's crazy, beyond crazy and then Trump

David Shoebridge on fire slams the govt for siding with “two vile men” on a war “for the 1%”
“For the fossil fuel cos…for Donald Trump & the Epstein class…for Benjamin Netanyahu so he can get reelected in Israel”
“You do not give a rat about the interests of Aus ppl”💥 #auspol
Yes higher fuel prices are a huge challenge for most Australians but at least we are not in the middle of this war 😒 before we complain too much we can thank our lucky stars we are alive & well not at risk of dying due to missile strikes #middleastconflict#fuelcrisis#auspol
Jo Dyer leading a discussion on the SA Liberal Party "they just don't have the talent'. One could argue the federal Libs just don't have the talent either. #sundayshot
