An OpenAI model has achieved a major breakthrough in mathematics, by disproving a central conjecture in discrete geometry that was first posed by Paul Erdős in 1946.
This is the first time AI has autonomously solved a prominent open problem central to a field of mathematics.

As usual @citizenlab is doing "gods work"and provide top notch analysis: Uncovering Global Telecom Exploitation by Covert Surveillance Actors. A must read ( as usual ).
Today, we’re open-sourcing the draft specification for DESIGN.md, so it can be used across any tool or platform. We’re also adding new capabilities.
DESIGN.md lets you easily export and import your design rules from project to project. Instead of guessing intent, agents know exactly what a color is for and can even validate their choices against WCAG accessibility rules.
Watch David East break down this shared visual language in action👇. New capabilities and links in 🧵

We are aware of recent reports regarding targeted phishing attacks that have resulted in account takeovers of some Signal users, including government officials and journalists. We take this very seriously.
To be clear: Signal’s encryption and infrastructure have not been compromised and remain robust. These attacks were executed via sophisticated phishing campaigns, designed to trick users into sharing information – SMS codes and/or Signal PIN – to gain access to users’ accounts. 1/4

Anyone can read the redactions of the Epstein Files by just copying and pasting them into a word doc. The people at Trump's Justice Department are so stupid they used Adobe Acrobat to black out the documents.
Did you know that in the 90s, U.S. export regulations deemed cryptographic systems with keys >40 bits as "munitions"?
PGP (Pretty Good Privacy), using >=128 bits, landed its creator, Phil Zimmermann, in an investigation for unlicensed export of such "munition".
His genius fix: In 1995 he published the source code in a hardback book via MIT Press, as the export of books is protected by the First Amendment.
People who wanted to build their own copy of PGP had to cut off the covers, separate the pages and scan them, facilitating an OCR program, creating a set of the source code files.
This way, PGP became available anywhere!
New on our Frontier Red Team blog: We tested whether AIs can exploit blockchain smart contracts.
In simulated testing, AI agents found $4.6M in exploits.
