Today, @GambiaRedCross launch a groundbreaking initiative to address challenges posed by climate change in 🇬🇲. This project is funded by the @USAID & in partnership with the @ifrc to support & empower vulnerable communities to adapt to climate change through locally-led.

@AbdoulieFye thanked both @USAID for funding, @IFRCAfrica & @RCClimate for the technical support.

He urged all to work together, raise awareness, drive action, & ensure that the most vulnerable & marginalized communities receive the attention & resources needed to adapt to CC.

With the growing global climate crisis, the @IFRCAfrica Dakar Cluster head said he is hopeful this project will drive sustainable local adaptation and boost long-term community resilience.

During the event, Fabakary Kalleh, President @GambiaRedCross underscored the urgency of the project highlighting that 🇬🇲 faces increased vulnerability; extreme weather events & shifting climatic patterns.
He said 'We need to act now to address some of the adaptation challenges.'

The Tallinding Home Red Link, in collaboration with Librass Drug Store, recently conducted a community screening event in Tallinding focusing on Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, and Anemia. A big thank you to volunteers who participated and helped to make this event a success.

@kmredcross Our Tallinding community-based Red Cross Link volunteers, in collaboration with the local community, conducted a cleansing exercise at the market on Sunday. The activity aimed to promote a healthy environment for the vendors.
