Union Minister Shri G. Kishan Reddy today presented the Copper Vision Document at the International Conference on Sustainable & Responsible Mining in Hyderabad.
The vision sets the course for meeting a sixfold rise in copper demand by 2047, with plans for 5 MTPA refining capacity by 2030, stronger recycling, and strategic global tie-ups — supporting PM Shri @narendramodi ji’s goal of a self-reliant Viksit Bharat 2047.

Both sides also explored renewing the India-Chile MoU on Geology and Mineral Resources to establish a future-ready framework for critical minerals.
