Union Minister Shri G. Kishan Reddy today presented the Copper Vision Document at the International Conference on Sustainable & Responsible Mining in Hyderabad.

The vision sets the course for meeting a sixfold rise in copper demand by 2047, with plans for 5 MTPA refining capacity by 2030, stronger recycling, and strategic global tie-ups — supporting PM Shri @narendramodi ji’s goal of a self-reliant Viksit Bharat 2047.

Led a high-level Indian delegation at the India-Chile Mining Industry Round Table, organized by the International Copper Association, India, in Delhi today.

The discussion, held with Chile’s Minister of Mines, H.E. Aurora Williams, focused on strengthening cooperation in mineral exploration, sustainable mining, and value-added processing. Both sides also explored renewing the India-Chile MoU on Geology and Mineral Resources to establish a future-ready framework for critical minerals.
