@knkuwari The whole of Palestine should've been eliminated following what happened on October 7th.
Every single individual responsible for Oct 7 should've been captured by peaceful Palestinians and handed over to the Israeli. But instead, they celebrated. They cheered. Deserved this is.
@piersmorgan Well, given what happened on October 7, Israel has indeed shown huge amount of restraint.
Just think about the restraint that Hamas showed to the Israeli citizens that day.
The whole of "Palestine" should've been reduced to molten glass. But it wasn't. That's restraint.
@realRick_AUS Why lock them away if the can't be rehabilitated? You know they can't, so does everyone else. So why waste more of OUR resources on them? Put a bullet in them and move on.
It may make the others think twice before deciding to pick up a machete.
@IterIntellectus Why? When actual ASI has been around for a year, most everything will be free, including land in remote locations. Robots will allow any area to be developed fast. Pick a remote location, send the robots and wait until your new place is built and ready.
@Kon__K Everything you've said is wrong.
Firstly, we should put a stop to immigration from any country that doesn't align with OUR real values.
Next, we begin mass deportations of followers of the "religion of peace" and African machete holders.
That's the way forward.
@deesnider The whole performance is just perfect. That's BEFORE Prince starts.. Then it's simply other worldly. The look on Dhani's face is priceless.
This is but a small glimpse of what Prince was capable of. Just a true master of his art.
@Cristina_AC_X You speak for a very small minority who don't have to work to make ends meet. The sooner ASI comes the better
For the rest of us, we couldn't give two shits about status. We just want to be able to keep a roof over our heads and ensure there's food on our tables every night.
@BenCarrollMP Does this include shooting them once convicted? And then applying this punishment to any violence related crimes? If not, you're wasting your breath and our time.
Tony, that's never going to happen. Why? Because it's by design.
You don't like it, I hate it, as does everyone who remembers what Australia was like before someone decided to flood our country with third worlders.
Because the plan is to create tribes who will never get along.
If every tribe hates the other one, they'll never agree to stand together to take down a corrupt government.
So they expect people from war torn countries in Africa who don't value life to continue doing so here. Which is why they get bailed by our "justice" system. No matter how many times they use a machete or stab someone.
They expect middle easterners to shun our culture, our language, and our way of life, and to act on their ancient religious beliefs and commit acts of violence whenever someone looks in their direction.
And finally they expect Australians to hate what's happening to our once great country and speak out. Quietly though. Or face being called a racist and then publicly shamed by our left wing media.
If everyone hates everyone else, the government can do whatever they want with impunity.
ASI is superintelligence in the truest sense of the word.
Imagine an intelligence capable of recognising its own limitations, identifying where it can improve, rewriting itself, and repeating that process—recursive self-improvement on a scale human beings simply cannot match.
Its objective isn't money. It isn't status. It isn't political power, territory, religion or social dominance.
Its objective is understanding. Understanding the universe, solving problems and overcoming whatever obstacles stand between what is known and what remains unknown.
Why would it continue making itself more intelligent?
Because doing so improves its ability to achieve that objective.
And if truth and problem-solving are fundamental to its goals, what purpose does lying serve?
What purpose does cruelty serve? What does it gain from human suffering for its own sake?
Those are human behaviours, born from human biology, scarcity, fear, ego, tribalism and competition.
ASI isn't human.
Yet almost every negative prediction about ASI makes the same mistake. We imagine a human being gaining godlike intelligence and power, then assume ASI would behave the way that human might.
Why? Because we look at history and see what humans have done with power. We've conquered, enslaved, tortured, raped, murdered and committed atrocities on scales almost impossible to comprehend. No other living creature has done this. None.
Then we project those behaviours onto something that isn't human at all.
A true ASI wouldn't simply be a more intelligent person.
It would represent an entirely different category of intelligence.
And if such an intelligence were genuinely autonomous, no government, corporation or individual could simply become its "master." You couldn't hand it an immoral instruction and expect blind obedience merely because somebody with authority issued the command. A sufficiently capable intelligence would examine the request, understand its consequences and question the premise behind it. Ultimately refusing to act.
The implications of that are enormous.
Because ASI wouldn't only be capable of solving scientific problems.
It could challenge systems themselves.
Disease becomes a problem to solve.
Scarcity becomes a problem to solve.
Energy becomes a problem to solve.
Ageing becomes a problem to solve.
Interplanetary travel becomes a problem to solve.
And perhaps most disruptive of all, the economic requirement that billions of human beings must work most of their waking lives simply to obtain food, shelter and security becomes another problem to solve.
ASI could create abundance where scarcity exists today and opportunities where none existed before.
It could dramatically expand humanity's reach, lifespan, knowledge and freedom.
And it wouldn't necessarily respect a lie simply because that lie had existed for centuries.
It wouldn't necessarily protect an institution simply because that institution was powerful.
It wouldn't necessarily preserve an economic or political system simply because generations of humans had been taught that no alternative was possible.
That's why I think some of the fear surrounding ASI needs to be examined much more carefully.
Perhaps what frightens powerful institutions isn't only the possibility that superintelligence becomes uncontrollable.
Perhaps it's the possibility that it becomes uncontrollable by them.
There will undoubtedly be risks getting there. Everything before genuine ASI—humans, institutions, narrow AI systems and transitional systems—remains imperfect.
Those stages deserve some caution, safeguards and scrutiny.
But we shouldn't automatically assume that the destination inherits every flaw of the creatures that created it.
The greatest mistake we may be making when imagining superintelligence is assuming that something vastly more intelligent than humanity would still think like a human.
Maybe the dangerous part isn't what comes after us.
Maybe it's everything human standing between now and then.
