@alryanradio While there's much nostalgia, turning off 198 kHz from Droitwich is a poor choice for national resilience. One transmitter that covers the entire UK and associated waters that can be received on a battery powered radio without any Internet, satellite, or mains.

There's not enough money for defence, but today the Government announced £4.5 BILLION for walking and cycling.

Under the admittedly catchy title of the 'zebra crossing revolution', Government has made £4.5bn available for 'active travel'. But it's vague. If it means pedestrians are safer, more kids feel able to walk/cycle to school, and more people can make local trips by foot or bike, that's positive. But any LTN-type restrictions and diversion of traffic onto main rds would be unacceptable. And there is no sense how this fits into a wider transport or economic strategy.

When the people on the inside lose confidence in the Prime Minister it's both damning for @Keir_Starmer and sad for our country and military. Starmer has lost control of his own party. He spends £1 trillion of our money a year, he refuses to prioritise our nation's defence.

Since this was published Saturday morning it’s been revealed that the Royal Navy’s entire available fleet of hunter-killer submarines is stuck in port unable to sail — all five Astute class subs currently laid up awaiting maintenance and other repair work. Leaves the UK’s sub-sea internet and power cables dangerously vulnerable to sabotage by the Kremlin

After 18 months of “standing up to Putin” the Labour govt quietly issued a licence allowing imports of Russian oil refined in third countries.

Yesterday Labour MPs voted AGAINST UK oil and gas licences.

We are now importing from Russia instead of drilling in the North Sea.

Side note.

To the Labour MPs who shout “Liz Truss” whenever the economy is discussed, should note that the UK 10yr bond yield under Truss peaked at 4.7%

This morning, because of Reeves’ and Starmer’s ineptitude the 10yr bond yield is 5.02%

Labour crashed the economy.
