If India "has to" play Pakistan in a multinational tournament because the format leaves no alternative, then why not treat it like any other fixture, against any other team?
But that’s not what happens. They are routinely placed in the same group, ensuring at least one guaranteed clash. The match is almost always scheduled in weekend prime time, wrapped in weeks of manufactured hype, pre-match shows, ads, dramatic commentary, fake fights, music, performances, spectacle, everything calibrated to extract maximum viewership and revenue.
That's not how majboori me khelna pad raha hai looks like. The pattern is structural and deliberate. The rivalry is monetised, emotions are packaged, and nationalism is subtly turned into a broadcast product. That's why "not shaking hands with them" means nothing. It's just a lollypop given to those cricket fans who keep country over cricket and question why there is a need to play against such a hostile country.

The Sharavathi Valley in Karnataka’s Western Ghats is under grave threat. The proposed 2000MW Pumped Storage Project by KPTCL will be built inside the Sharavathi Lion tailed Macaque Wildlife Sanctuary, demanding the felling of 16,000+ trees and clearing 50 hectares of dense evergreen forest.
This isn’t just tree loss it’s an ecological disaster in the making. The valley is home to endangered Lion-tailed macaques, hornbills, king cobras, and unique medicinal plants found nowhere else. The project also risks altering the river’s flow, leading to saltwater intrusion into Sharavathi, directly affecting drinking water, farming, and livelihoods in Honnavar. It will further increase landslide risks in this fragile region.
Authorities claim “compensatory afforestation” will make up for the loss. But centuries-old ecosystems cannot be recreated.
Development must not mean destruction.
Stand up to #SaveSharavathi.
#WATCH | Kanpur, UP: On upcoming India vs Pakistan match in Asia Cup 2025, Aishanya Dwivedi - wife of Pahalgam terror attack victim Shubham Dwivedi, says, "BCCI should not have accepted a match between India and Pakistan...I think BCCI is not sentimental towards those 26 families...What are our cricketers doing? It is said that cricketers are nationalists. It is viewed as our national game. But except 1-2 cricket players, nobody stepped forward to say that we should boycott the match against Pakistan. BCCI cannot make them play at gunpoint. They should take a stand for their country. But they are not doing it. I would like to ask the sponsors and broadcasters if their nationality for those 26 families is finished?...What will the revenue from the match be used? Pakistan will use this just for terrorism...That is a terrorist nation...You will provide them revenue and prepare them to attack us once again. I cannot understand this...I urge people to boycott this. Do not go to watch this and do not switch on your TV for this..."
Neeraj chopra was brutally trolled by all so called nationalist and he had to put apology letter. But BCCI are now playing against Pakistan even after having all the powers. Let's see the outrage now
India should not be playing in any tournament where Pakistan is also a Participant. Here we are defending our country from Pakistan’s State Sponsored Terrorism and loosing our Officers and Soldiers, there is a Section of People making a mockery of Playing, Singing and Partying with the Enemy. Please Ask a Martyr’s family if they are enjoying the Match.
Let’s show Respect and Gratitude to our men and women guarding our Borders.

The RCB Bengaluru stampede report is made public by the Karnataka High Court, despite the state govt’s plea to keep it confidential.
As per report, RCB unilaterally invited the public for a victory parade to Chinnaswamy Stadium without consulting or seeking permission from city police.
RCB informed the police only on 03 June 25, the day they won the IPL, merely as an intimation, rather than a formal request for permission, which legally must be filed at least seven days in advance. No formal application was submitted, so the Police denied permission due to lack of details about the expected crowd, safety arrangements, and possible bottlenecks.
Despite this, at 7: 01 am the next morning, RCB posted on social media announcing free public entry to the parade from Vidhana Soudha to the stadium. Another post followed at 8 am, and later at 8: 55 am, RCB shared a video of Virat Kohli inviting fans to join the celebrations.
At 3: 14 pm, just hours before the event, RCB finally clarified that entry required free passes from their website. The report says this last-minute change created “confusion, frustration, and chaos” among thousands who had already gathered, believing it was an open event.
The posts drew huge engagement, over 4.4 million views, and led to a crowd exceeding 3 lakh people, based partly on Metro ridership data that day.
Authorities decided not to cancel the event out of fear that abruptly doing so could spark violence and worsen the law and order situation. Instead, they cut short the program and increased monitoring to manage the massive turnout.
Why was RCB in such a hurry? If they had organised the victory parade just 3–4 days later, there would have been better crowd control, and even fans from outside the state could have joined comfortably. Why the haste?
Indian Army chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi today commended Major Bachwala Rohit for demonstrating exceptional professional acumen and selfless commitment beyond the call of duty.
On 5 July 2025, while proceeding on leave from Military Hospital Jhansi to his hometown of Hyderabad, he was involved in a critical medical intervention that exemplified the highest standards of military service. At Jhansi Railway Station, he noticed a woman in visible distress near the lift area. She had fallen from a wheelchair and was in advanced labour. Major Rohit’s swift and decisive action, under non-clinical and resource-constrained circumstances, is a testament to his medical proficiency, composure under pressure, and unwavering commitment to the ethos of the Armed Forces: Indian Army.

Mr Siddaramiah has gone into Panic mode. The suspension of Bengaluru City Police Commissioner is the darkest day in the History of Karnataka Police.
The prize for telling the Truth and he and his Team slogged the whole night to keep Bengaluru Safe.
Everyone in Karnataka knows that it is the Uncontrollable Deputy Chief Minister who orchestrated the Death March is the main Culprit.
No Chief Minister has become as Helpless, Cowardly, Nervous and Panicky.
The Government has Blood on its Hands and Now has lost its Mind too. The Government is now in Disaster.
What led to the chaos
RCB's early morning social media announcement of a victory parade from Vidhana Soudha to Chinnaswamy Stadium sparked huge excitement, with over a million likes and 1.5 million views on Instagram and X.
However, by 11:55am Bengaluru city police clarified that no parade would be held; only a felicitation at the stadium from 5-6pm would be held. Despite this, RCB and Karnataka State Cricket Association pursued the state government for permission to hold a victory parade. Following the denial by Bengaluru police, many fans — including BJP leader and Bengaluru Central MP PC Mohan — questioned the decision to not allow the parade.
At around 12:15pm, the Chief Minister's Office officially announced that a felicitation ceremony for the team would be held at 4pm at Vidhana Soudha. Deputy Chief Minister and Bengaluru Development Minister DK Shivakumar urged fans not to gather at HAL airport, but instead to come to Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB members arrived at HAL airport around 2:30pm.
Confusion escalated as an RCB social media post at 3:15pm reiterated parade plans and offered free online passes. However, police remained unclear on victory parade. A senior officer told Moneycontrol that the police force was exhausted from overnight celebrations and unprepared for the massive crowd. “We had advised to delay the event to better manage emotions and logistics, but political considerations prevailed” he said.
After 3:30pm, panic erupted when a pavement slab near the stadium collapsed under crowd pressure. Confusion over passes, narrow entry gates, a first-come-first-served pass system, lathi-charge to disperse the crowd, patchy mobile networks, and a crowd that vastly outnumbered the police all contributed to a stampede-like situation. Amid the surge, barricades also collapsed.
Another official told Moneycontrol that poor communication and coordination among multiple agencies, two different events within a 2 km radius, and a shortage of police personnel compounded the problem. “Police focused on Vidhana Soudha where more VIPs were present, leaving areas near Chinnaswamy stadium understaffed amid overwhelming crowds funnelling into the narrow Central Business District roads. Handling such a crowd with little preparation was nearly impossible."
In fact, images of people climbing the High Court building, trees and other structures also went viral.
Politicians will tweet how devasted they are. Players will share a picture that has a condolence message written by their PR team, with a '💔' emoji in the caption. State govt will announce compensation. Franchise will follow suit.
That’s it. That’s the worth of your life in the system. No one will be held accountable. No arrests, no responsibility, just routine optics.
Only your family will carry the grief. For everyone else, it’s a 2–3 day headline.
