It is interesting to see the uptake in theological engagement around the LCMS convention. As an outsider. Since I've been doing a lot of reading on worship lately, I took a moment to listen to this take and I still don't know what it's trying to say.

I haven't engaged issues of YEC in a wild so here's a short reaction from someone who wants to be sympathetic but keeps encountering weak arguments.

There might be some category confusion here.

Many proponents of YEC attemp to show how it is a scientific position or at least a position most consistent with scientific inquiry but the scientific arguments produced in this space are embarrassing.
