It's a Wrap! ๐ ๐ #KnowITBootCamp
The journey we started Last Wednesday was concluded today! I have to confess I gained a lot and made new friends!
We assessed what they have learnt with a simple project and I was wowed at the results ๐
These kids are smart, really smart
@marekchinedu I run an NGO @knowIT_official. We teach Nigerian Kids Coding ( how to fish ๐). Age range 7 - 15 for now. Currently we organise BootCamps: project based learning, we have had trainings on Scratch, Python, Algorithms, Frontend Web dev..
Would love to talk more about it with you.
Imagine following at least one developer from every country.
Imagine understanding how developers build & talk about your software from different parts of the globe.
Imagine having crazy insights into the environment in which developers craft products.
Follow. Donโt Imagine!๐
The name of Murewa's Website is Country Soft.
In his own words: Country Soft is a Platform for Youths to provide solutions to Nigeria's problems leveraging technology. So every interested persons can submit their ideas to his website and get collaboration
Isn't that awesome? ๐ฅ
Had a great time with Murewa this afternoon, our first Mentor - Mentee Hangout ๐
He showed me the website he's been working on since we concluded #KnowITBootCamp.
After which I showed him how to properly structure a web project, link external #CSS and some #SublimeText tricks
In case you are wondering, this BootCamp is not where we sign off ๐
We've carefully selected 10 most interested & enthusiastic students, paired them with mentors which means we will be with them every step of their tech journey.

We had an average of 16 kids throughout the 10 days of #KnowITBootCamp
These kids had absolutely ZERO knowledge of Coding nor what the WEB is, we demystified these concepts to them.
We taught them #HTML#CSS & #JAVASCRIPT
After 10days,we have an 8 year old designing webpages ๐ฅ
From the assessment we gave them, we planned to select 3 winners cause we had prize for just 3 but their exceptional performance made us increase to 4!
Meet the Winners - Ebenezer, Murewa, Ego & Boboye
PS: Ebenezer doesn't have a laptop, yet he came first! ๐ฅ
