Great news 👏

[Raptor Persecution UK @RaptorPersUK]

It's been the same on #broomhead & #langsett this week.

[The Secret Birder @BirderSecret]

Moorland burning again on Strines (looking from Redmires). Not really helping @SheffCouncil’s clean air zone by the looks of things… @burningmoors @MoorlandMonitor @WildSheffield

@MartinSLewis My mum gets £40 "too much" pension thanks to working as a dinner lady & misses out on thousands as she doesn't qualify for pension credit. I don't understand why eligibility can't have a taper rather than a fixed figure. She watches tv in her coat to avoid putting on her heating.

[Knowing My Place @knowingmyplaces]

@MartinSLewis @bbc5live That money will never make you happy & it isn't the most important thing in life. And credit is like crack, do it once and you'll never get off it.

@CrossDavidB @SkyHouseCo Oughtibridge Mill is looking great, but what flood protection measures are being installed on-site (& downstream)?

[Knowing My Place @knowingmyplaces]

@wildmoorsuk @campanula9 @PeakDistrictUK @PeakChief It's a messed up system for sure.

[Knowing My Place @knowingmyplaces]

@MoorlandMonitor @ChatsworthHouse They have form. It's known that they allow fox hunts under the guise of "trail hunting" and Peregrine Cavendish is on record in support of fox hunting. https://t.co/RRGDnuA3hC

[Moorland Monitors @MoorlandMonitor]

Hey @ChatsworthHouse - Why are Fenn traps hung up around your pheasant pens? Do you know that it's illegal to use these to kill stoats? And even more illegal to use them to kill raptors? Please stop killing wildlife with vicious outlawed traps. #Chatsworth #Derbyshire

This cosy relationship between police and grouse shooting lobby has to stop @Henry_Nottage @SheffieldGreens @MoorlandMonitor

Another grouse moor bites the dust...

🔥 HOT: New research by @Motion_Terra shows that peatland restoration for its carbon value has outpaced grouse shooting as an income stream for landowners.

Check out our deep dive into what this means for the future of the uplands 👇

[Parking Like A Twat in Sheffield @ParkinginSheff]

What the actual f..........?
Come on @sccstreetsahead what's THAT all about?!

[Wild Moors @wildmoorsuk]

Look at Langholm Moor now 😍

The once intensively-managed grouse moor spent decades being burnt, but now is being restored for nature, climate and people.

It was bought out by the local community which implemented a plan so that wildlife and ecosystems can thrive!

[George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot]

13. #RegenesisFact 13: The Cambrian Dead Zone should be a nationally-infamous disaster area. It’s the biggest terrestrial dead zone in the UK and probably in western Europe. But, amazingly, it’s almost unknown to us, despite the fact that it covers roughly 300km2. 🧵

@MoorlandMonitor Perhaps leave them some feedback on the social media of their other business interests where they make no mention of their wildlife destruction....there it's all countryside idylls https://t.co/HincpRCZKu & https://t.co/uu6N1JF2fV

[Wild Moors @wildmoorsuk]

Grouse moors regenerating into wild moors are what dreams are made of. 🐦🌳

This is truly groundbreaking. 👏
