I don’t think we’re quite there yet in terms of DeFAI.

Realising the secret unlock for these agent frameworks isn’t 100+ plug-ins

it is its ability to enable intelligence in an agent.

Specifically:

Memory
agent needs to remember context and past interactions to learn.

Reasoning
Agent needs to utilise its memories + logic correctly within the context of new scenarios.

Planning
Agent needs to be able to strategise the best action to take given its reasoning.

It doesn’t matter how many plug-ins your framework has if your agent doesn’t know what or when to use them.

Great news is most teams are working on enabling all this for V2 of their frameworks / platforms.

This is what will *actually* enable autonomous agent trading (DeFAI)

So there you have it. Definition of DeFi 2.0: Creating new boundaries between the firm/DAOs and onchain market forces..such as producing liquidity/assets within the firm and creating a novel consensus/social mechanism to deploy them into the market.
