Many thanks to the team @edinburghcoll for hosting 50 of our budding S2 engineers on 9th Feb. Very successful day building water turbines and hot air balloons. Every group had a working water wheel and a successful launch of their hot air balloon. Well done! @knoxacademy
It was the turn of S1 to meet with SSE in our latest STEM event. Three great sessions (Storm Response) and all pupils engaging with what to do if an 80 MPH storm hit our community. Well done S1 and thanks to Gary and Decan @sserenewables @knoxacademy
Our S2 STEM event went down very well with the pupils today, learning about the advantages of renewable energy and wind turbines in particular. Thanks to Kerrie and Andrew from @sserenewables. @knoxacademy@EL_Works

Do plants need light to produce Starch? Oh yes they do โ๏ธโ๏ธ๐ชด๐ฑ๐ฟ! The S2's in Mr Johnstone's class proved this by only letting light hit certain areas on their leaves. Starch is shown in the black areas using iodine โ
