The Centre, which is one of the five centres in the world, will train a new generation of African engineers and technology researchers, especially women.
He says that engineering practice has eluded us as a nation, but now with the state-of-the-art equipment we have at the hub, he is confident that the new dawn for engineering training in Africa is here, at EDiC.
