So I made a tool to help Indie devs make sprite packs for their retro-themed games, using the proper palettes for a range of machines, or custom ones of their choosing. This video is more quick tutorial than promo. It's free as hosting costs are low, link in the replies.
A normal person would just use whatever sprite tools are available. And then there's me building my own because none of them have a workflow I like. This feels much more intuitive for me than any of the ones I've tried using that other people have made. This is why vibe coding is awesome. For making little tools to use yourself there's nothing better.
So I thought I'd show off the level editor I've been working on for Bomb Bloke, my puzzle game running in an Amstrad CPC464 mode 0 style on modern hardware. Let me know what you think in the comments. I can't wait to see the levels people build.
This developer is making a horror roguelike where you do dental work on giant predators, aiming to clean up the mess without waking the beast.... or else.
It's called Shark Dentist, are you interested?
So I'm starting to get the Amstrad CPC 464 aesthetic working. The colour scheme is now pure Amstrad, and we have the fat chunky pixels. Next job is to figure out how the fuck to make frogs, snails and bombs from so few pixels. Still, constraints breed creativity.

We do not do business with grifters. We do not appease the protection racket that she and the likes of Sweet Bany Inc represent. It is both immoral to do so and poor business.
Trying to start a business in the UK is a Kafkaesque experience. Getting a Ltd company set up on a government website that doesn’t work & sends you on an infinite loop of x requires y requires z. Trying to get a business bank account is just random rejections & no info. Fml.
