It’s crystal clear in a factual sense which party is more radical today. The Democrats could elect two dozen socialists and they still wouldn’t be anywhere near as far left as the GOP has gone far right. https://t.co/jcm7088V3U
@JudicialWatch@TomFitton Americans are losing confidence in the electoral process because politicians (and political hacks) are repeatedly and falsely claiming rampant election fraud.
There are two big problems with the “unitary executive theory” that Trump is relying on to expand presidential power: it’s unmoored from history (i.e. completely made up) and so broad that it can’t be consistently implemented. https://t.co/7yqy7TfEix

@ChrisStirewalt I was listening to Rep Dingle this afternoon list all the things that needed to be fixed, and no fixes (not even phony rhetorical ones) - same old same old.
One of the sleazier media tropes is when the US menaces a much smaller country that’s done nothing to the US and it’s framed as “heightened tensions” between the two countries. Cuba is being unilaterally starved and threatened by the US. That’s not “tensions,” it’s US aggression.
My Ban Presidential Plunder of Taxpayer Funds Act would make it illegal for a sitting president or VP to receive settlement payments from the federal government they control—or to direct those payments to a third party.
We CANNOT allow this abuse of power.
The DOJ's settlement bars the IRS from pursuing pending tax audits of Pres. Trump, his family and businesses, potentially opening the door to violations of the Constitution's Domestic Emoluments Clause. Congress must act to ensure it is fully enforced. https://t.co/FzJwZDr5FD
Any DOJ settlement that gives the President a dollar -- or a direct material benefit -- is a flagrant violation of the Presidential Emoluments Clause:
"The President shall not receive ... any other Emolument from the United States, or any of [the states]." Art II, S.1, cl. 7.
I think Democrats ought to double down on multiracial democracy rather than court people who change their minds once the economy is better again.
