Yesterday I traveled from Kampala to Fort Portal but couldn’t help feeling the pain of stepping into Tooro with no King Oyo. Tried to see if the signpost in Kyegegwa still exists.I relived the livestreams I watched of the return & funeral.
God,have mercy on his family&friends

Do you work with the ministry of health? How about we left them do their job which is to keep Ugandans and people in Uganda healthy without us non health professionals interfering?

Today I had an opportunity to bid Farewell to @antonioguterres the UN Secretary General after completing my tour of duty as Ambassador of Uganda to the UN. I have had a close working relationship and a Father figure who checked on to see if I was doing well. Since 2017 we have worked together on various UN processes, Buenos Aires plan of action on south-south cooperation(BUPA), Pact of the future, Financing for Development(FFD), UN 75, UN80 reforms, UN Budget, support to Entebbe regional service center, reform of the UN Development system, and regional peace and security. He visited Uganda twice during my term. I wished him the best in the remaining three months as one of the most consequential UN Secretary Generals. I wished him well in his final three months as a consequential leader.

This is a positive development for our people and a further reflection of the warm and cordial bilateral relations between Uganda and South Africa.
It will facilitate greater movement and interaction between our two countries, while supporting tourism, business, trade, investment and people-to-people ties.
One thing that gives me comfort is that history will know that when king Oyo died, 99% of Uganda kept on his side, not just batooro but all Ugandans. They fought soo hard, they tried. They may not have won because things turned political, but they tried.
